Kornati National Park

The Kornati islands are one of the most vivid images you can take with you from a visit to the Adriatic Sea. This archipelago of 89 islands and rocks will amaze you with its spatial appearance. You can visit Kornati on your own vessel, or by joining an organized excursion. You will spend the whole day at sea, enjoy a lunch on board, and have time for taking a bath. Besides nature, you will see a Bizantine Fortress from the 6th century and the Church of Gospe od Tarca.

Krka River National Park

Krka River and Kornati are the inevitable excursions if you are coming to Vodice, and anywhere else in the Šibenik region. Vransko Jezero: Ornithology reserve

The Vransko Lake is a unique ornithology reserve in this area. It is being called a «hot spot» due to the presence of a great bird diversity with 241 species, out of which 102 nest here. Activities available in the Park are biking, sailing and sport fishing. The lake is located at some 20 km from Vodice, in the coastal hinterland.

Šibenik archipelago

Archipelago of this region is extremely extended and abounds with unique shapes. Each island is a world of its own, weather it is just bare stone in the combination with the blue of the sky and sea or a forested oasis with its hidden bays and rich animal life.

Island Prvić

Island Prvić is situated only across Vodice’s water front. It is known by the oldest olive trees sorts and wine yards that have been fighting wind and sun over the decades. This picturesque island still cherishes traditional Dalmatian lifestyle. If you wish to experience how island life looked like fifty years ago, Prvić is a right example. Hear the folk tunes and participate in a well known fiesta of Prvić and make friends with this charming island.

Island Zlarin

A long tradition of cultivating corrals on the Adriatic derives form this charming island when in the 15th century inhabitants of this island exported corrals to Naples and Sicily. Today Zlarin represents one of the favorite nautical points and literally a heaven for relaxing in the peaceful nature. Even today you can find and buy corrals for your memory to this place.

OUR RECCOMENDATION:
Visit konoba “Kod Vunenog” and taste the most delicious home made lunch. There are no directors how to find it as this is a hidden place known only by the locals. Ask someone for a direction and you will not be sorry.

Island Krapanj

Krapanj is one of the most sordid islands on the Adriatic, however it is famous for the longest tradition of cultivating sea sponges. This traditional Croatian product is widely known for its therapeutic effects. Get to known is unusual island whose life is still running like decades ago.

OUR RECCOMNDATION:
Make sure that sponges you buy have certificate of original Croatian quality and origin of Krapanj Island. Unfortunately there is cheap competition of imported imitations.

Island Logorun

This island, just outside Tribunj is famous for being the world’s first nature reserve of donkeys. Donkey is a rare traditional animal known for its stubbornness and hardworking. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to make friends with these charming animals, but as well as to take a swim at one of the beautiful Logorun’s bays.

Bring along dried figs for these sociable little creatures!
